Notes from Peter behind the Pictures
It has been a busy few months here at PPP HQ. I have been down deep at the coalface of the Illustration mines. Although these mines are often cold and difficult to navigate, it is always heartwarming to see how far and wide my work travels across the globe. I feel a sense of pride that people who visit the Northern Irish shores want to take a tea towel or Print of mine home as a keepsake of their stay. The thought that one of my tea towels is possibly cleaning dishes somewhere in Germany keeps me going.
The above image is an Illustration I recently completed for Queen's University, Belfast. They required a simplified map of their campus to be used in both print and tea towel form. So look out for it if you're a visitor to Queen's.
Reading Room
I'm currently reading anything and everything by John Berger. I'm about halfway through his book G. I love the clarity with which he writes about Art. Although some of his art criticism can date back to the mid-20th century it still feels relevant and fresh today. He writes with such openness and warmth that it is hard to resist.
